Description
The inspiration for this piece came from a walk through my local area in London called Walthamstow. I was utterly fascinated by how the trees and shrubbery nearly swallowed up the building and wanted to capture this. Using a pink underpainting also helped create a vibrant contrast between the greenery, blue sky and red bricks.
Upon research, I also discovered that this building houses Waltham Forest Music Service for children which made me so happy because it meant my art is capturing a place where another art form is nutured.
